I wanted to share a quick update on a significant planning proposal that’s currently shaping the future of Randwick. Randwick Council has put forward a long-term vision to transform the Randwick Junction precinct into a more activated, higher-density town centre over the next 15 to 20 years.

What’s being proposed:

  • Approximately 800 new homes within the junction precinct

  • New retail, commercial space and improved streetscapes

  • Building heights increasing to around 6–10 storeys in key areas

  • A landmark proposal for a 15-storey mixed-use building on Belmore Road

  • A focus on housing for key workers including hospital and university staff

There has also been some local discussion around parking, building heights and the pace of change, which is expected with any major transformation like this.

Overall, the direction is clear, Randwick is evolving into a more connected, higher-density centre while still retaining its strong lifestyle appeal.

If you’d like a more tailored update on how this specifically impacts your property or the current value in today’s market, feel free to reach out anytime.

Kind regards,
